Are you ready? I said are you ready? It's time to head into a new school year. For some
of you it may be the first year of high school, or maybe you're finally headed off to college. Others may be finishing
the last year, and others may be feeling stuck in the middle. Every year is special. Enjoy each and all it has
to offer.
The one thing you need no matter where you're at or where you're headed is a strong Christian
foundation. I think the best way to do that is to exercise your faith by putting it on display with one of my favorite

As football season fast approaches, I am reminded why I love the Indianapolis Colts. This team is a group
of tremendous players who are led by an incredible man who also happens to be a tremendous football coach. Coach Tony
Dungy has been an invaluable asset to his team and to the city that hosts his team. His leadership and willingness to
share his Christian life with those around him has made an impact on all who know and admire him.
I personally
had the chance to hear Coach Dungy speak while at the Youth Ministry National Conference in Cincinnatti, Ohio this
past February. His message about the things that are really important in life is very powerful. We are more than
what we do for a living. We are larger than the sum of the things that we own. We are children of God who have
the responsibility to live a right life no matter what we are called to do.
Faith and Football
is Dungy's vision for allowing others to express their faith. The Faith & Football DVD series
was introduced in 2005 by Colts Head Coach Tony Dungy and several players as a means of sharing their personal
testimonies of faith. This year, the Colts are excited to launch the third Faith &
Football DVD, which will feature Dungy and other coaches and players discussing how their faith helps them address
many of the important issues facing families and youth today.
This DVD is expected to be released during the fall of 2008. A limited number will
be available, free of charge, to non-profit groups, churches and other faith-based organizations. If you are inspired
by Coach Dungy and his stories of faith, or if you know someone who would be blessed by this series, let your local church
